Being a hard gainer can really be a drag. When you try practically everything to pack on muscle and nothing seems to work, it’s enough to drive you to the mad house. Plus when you’re putting on muscle that means weight and potentially fat so you struggle to stay ripped too. It’s frustrations like these and common mistakes that are constant mad that really make it hard.

The mistakes we’re talking about hurt all of your chances to build muscle, plus they could lead to other issues. Here is what to avoid and what to do instead.

First, it’s working out too much and not getting enough rest. I’m sure you’ve heard that during your rest, you’re actually building all that new muscle. Your workout is responsible for the ripping down of your muscle, the stimulus for growth and more muscle. The best way to workout is to give at least one full days rest to the body part that you exercised.

Rest is going to let your body repair full and that includes getting a really good sleep so it’s vital that you take it serious. If you want to know how to get ripped and bigger this is it… too much exercise is only going to push you backwards.

Second is exercising only your upper body. So many guys want to have a killer chest, arms and stomach. This is why guys tends to spend most if not all of their workout time on upper body exercises. However, the thing about it is your legs are so incredibly important to muscle building.

Your legs have some of the biggest muscle complexes in your body so when you build muscle there, you allow your body to jack up all over, not to mention you get ripped too.

The third thing is spending a lot of time on tiny muscles. It’s common for so many guys concentrate all their time working their biceps, triceps and abs. Let that sink in, some guys spend an entire day on just those tiny muscles.

Workout routines to build muscle need to concentrate on your biggest muscle groups for them to really work. Biceps curls pale in comparison to doing chin up for example which hit your biceps plus so much more too. This is really important because doing pull ups will build more muscle than just bicep curls.

This does mean you never do bicep curls, you just have to have the right workouts and know when and how much to work them.
