There are many situations where it’s just not possible to join a gym even if you wanted to. My sister lives downtown DC and is a really good example of this. She can’t join because not only does she not have a car, but the gym is three miles away so she can’t really walk or run there either.

There are so many women that can’t join gyms and they have to workout in their home or apartment and have to make it count too. With that said, now you need to know the right pieces of equipment that you can get to have a really great workout with no gym needed.

The first thing you need to do is get some weights because weight training for women is really important. Since you probably have a small space, you probably can only have so many. I suggest you get some ten, fifteen, twenty five, and thirty. That can last you a very long time and allow you to do some great things with your workout plans.

Second, you need some bands. When we talk about weight training, we are really talking about resistance training and that means you need some other things like bands which are great. Bands are not very expensive and you should get at each of the different resistance levels that you can. What really makes bands so functional is the fact that you can use them for some great resistance and in circuit training too.

Third, you have to get a stability ball. The only bad thing about the stability ball is how much room it tends to take up. To help with that, and it’s a good idea too, many women use the stability ball as a chair at their desk. A stability ball really helps your workouts because it brings more imbalance in your exercise routines which forces you to balance using more muscles and burning more fat.

Fourth, you are going to need a jump rope. A jump rope is better than a treadmill, elliptical, or anything else and it’s very inexpensive too. It’s so easy to use your jump rope in every workout and get a great cardio blast to help further burn fat. When you get your jump rope, make sure you get a speed rope because that gives you the most versatility for what you need to do.

That last thing that you need to pick up is a door pull up bar. Pull ups are an amazing exercise and really burn fat, but they also make you feel great about yourself and completely empower you. Plus a pull up bar can be used for tons of great exercises and they really help round out an amazing workout that you can do in your home.
